On Saturday June 8, OPEN DC hosted the Honorable Javed Jabbar, former Minister for Information and member of the Pakistan Senate, author, playwright, educator and public relations executive. The event was organized with the support of Charter Member Shafiq Khan. Other Charter Members who attended included: Qaisar Shareef, Mushtaq Khan, Ghazenfer Mansoor. Javed Jabbar offered an insightful and enlightening conversation about the roots of Pakistani identity and how many positive elements, such as resilience, resurgence, charitableness and community have flourished, particularly in diaspora communities in the United States and around the world. The discussion highlighted the relationship between these qualities and success in education and entrepreneurship across the diaspora and also covered various themes as participants engaged in a spirited dialogue.
