Zia
Chishti, Chairman and CEO of The Resource Group
will be the guest speaker. We have asked Zia
to share his personal success stories as an
entrepreneur. Prior to co-founding TRG, Zia
was the Chairman and CEO of Align Technology,
a Silicon Valley based technology company which
he founded in 1997. While at Align, Mr. Chishti
raised over $250 million in capital including
an initial public offering in January 2001 and
led the company from a concept to a global business
with annualized revenues of $70 million and
1,000 employees in fifteen countries. He also
developed Align's strategy of offshoring manufacturing
and business services, which resulted in the
location of approximately 700 employees at offshore
facilities in Pakistan, Dubai, Mexico and Costa
Rica.
Enterprise Forum Mission:
The Enterprise Forum Committee is responsible
for the growth, education and success of the
entrepreneurial and business community. Our
plan is to be a breeding ground for ideas, teach
individuals on how to start a company, foster
and encourage local start-ups and attract venture
capital and angel investments. Through the Enterprise
Forum we want to provide the opportunity for
our members to network with highly successful
and accomplished individuals from within our
membership base and outside. The overall vision
is to help ideas become highly successful enterprises.
Some of the Enterprise Forum Activities will
include the following:
* Provide a forum
for entrepreneurs to use OPEN as a network to
gain access to experienced executives
* Business Plan
Competition
* Critique Business
